The RCDB (RAMCO Central DataBase) acts as the conductor of the many different routes which a member update can take. It can be thought of as a middle man that passes information between the RAMCO AMS and NRDS. RCDB creates records for each type of transaction stored in the RCDB and matches these record with records in the RAMCO AMS and NRDS. This process guarantees that information in all three systems is always synchronized.  RCDB communicates behind the scenes when certain data has been created or updated in either the RAMCO AMS or NRDS. This ensures that your RAMCO AMS data is always up to date and synchronized with NRDS.
